if you want to show transition then this has to be reflected outside too, so you also have to install mechanical signals. Then you need the white cross to mark one type as invalid.

Thanks for your very useful explanations. At present also insert the mechanical signals would require a lot of changes, so I prefer to remove inside the ”stellwerk” the old mechanical equipment.

Hi Andrea,

don't get me wrong - the transition outside can be done quite easy since the additional signals of mechanical type can be the ones out of order! So you can buy cheap ones from the second market (or kits without the electric motor parts from http://www.conrad.de), add them to your display and apply the withe cross. So you would show a phase where the new signals are already in operation but not all benches with the levers have been removed inside the building yet.

now there is a real fault to point out - the fence in front of the barracks has to be removed! In case of an alarm you want all engines to be able to leave at one time without reversing - the current layout is a nightmare especially for the larger trucks.

Hello everybody,

Zunächst einmal vielen Dank für Ihre Kommentare.

Another small piece of scenery is complete. Here some pictures documenting the completion of the small artisan / industrial area on the left side of the layout.
The first series of photos is about the mounting / staining and wheatering of the building (resin kit).
The second series is instead relative to the placement of it and the various small contour accessories to the scene.

And last, some pictures of the square on two levels (to note that most of the pavement will be covered by buildings used for storage of goods). Compared with some pictures published in the preceding pages, I have replaced the old fence, with more realistic-looking metal mesh, and in part with the elements that represent a fence made of concrete blocks.
You’ll see photos of the work finished in all its parts in the next update.

I like the latest pictures very much - especially the small factory building and its backyard area. Just one question since I can't pick that up from the different views - are the two VW T3 next to the tracks able to get "out" somewhere? It looks like the path is narrowing...

you show us verey very amazing things. I like it.

I recommend, to correct one small detail:
Please park the cars next to the fire department building backwards as well as the boat trailor. In the case of emergency they have to leave very fast the area without turning round.

just an hour ago I found your thread ...watched your great pictures and what should I say... you´ve made my day!

From now on I going to start collecting stamps and give up the model railroading... .. ok not really , but for a few minutes I thought about that opportunity while I discovered one fantastic layoutszene after another.

Congratulation to your really outstanding layout which finds its right place in the "Ruhmeshalle" and thanks a lot for sharing it with us.

yes, the walls were made with plaster poured into silicone molds (see picture), the company is "Langmesser®-Modellwelt" (see website), and there are different types.

Hello everybody,

Vielen Dank für die positive Gerhard, Michael Kommentare und John (England).

Short update of the layout works:
- Almost complete the placing of the overhead contact line in the left side of the layout ( section road bridge/ tunnels entrances)
- Shaping extruded polystyrene as a base for the laying of the vegetation around the tunnels (missing insert bushes and trees).
- Construction, weathering and placement tunnel portal (+1 level) always left side of layout.

The following pictures illustrate better than words the above.
