Zitat von Tomcat13Hallo zusammen Ich danke Ihnen für Ihre mehr als positive Kommentare
I also started the "weathering" of the ballast (road bridge area). I used to wash in addition to black, the two colors "Vallejo Lavado" (see photo). Finally I cleared everything with the ivory white (dry brush) to give depth to the scene. What do you think about it?
Thanks for your attention, best regards Andrea
TOP!

Today it was a pleasant surprise to find my thread in this part of the forum So first let me thank all the new friends who, with the flattering opinions, allowed me to land in the "Rumeshalle" section.
Given the quality of the present work, I feel honored to be there with my layout. I admired in silence your wonderful works for a long time and I must admit that for me they have been a stimulus and an inspiration to improve myself more and more.
I advance some pictures of a small section (front) of the layout I'm working on during these days. The buildings represent a small factory with attached garage near the “stellwerk”. Thank you again for your trust, I hope my work can be a stimulus and an inspiration to other railfan friends.

Congratulations Andrea!
I observed the swift transition to the hall of fame but only found time to comment now.
You asked several times for pointing out any faults, well I can only find one candidate: Werdohl's switching equipment is clearly of the mechanical type which does not match the signals used. Of course there are many cases for partial upgrades to relay technique but this is then related to the neighboring blocks only. In your case clearly the whole station is upgraded so only operating desks should be visible inside the building but no benches with levers.
@ Alexander Thank you for pointing this out. In fact, the idea was to rapresent a transition from old mechanical equipment to the new technologies. Thank you again for your advice as soon as I can I will modify the interior of the building to make it suitable to the signals used.
@ dada81I used the Koemo “schotter”. It can be found in different colors (I am posting photos of various shades). The use of the color is in my opinion a personal choice, and it depends on the type of line and “weathering” that you want to represent. In my case on the main transit line, I'm using R20 and R10 ( 80% -20%). For the lower transit line R10 and DD (50% -50%). Once the ballast is well dried, to obtain a realistic result, it needs a couple of very dilute tempera washings (black and brown), a highlight with the dry brush technique, and a final washing with Vallejo Wash Colors (black, sepia, rouge single or mixed), insisting on the points that are considered to require more weathering.
