I just ordered a new Hakko 888D soldering station and a selection of tips for installing the catenary for Langwies. For this much soldering and having to possibly get into tighter spots with the wire, a 30 watt pencil iron isn't going to cut it.
However, I don't really know what temperature C°/F° I should set the controller at for the proper soldering temperature, or at least close, for the wire and registration arms.
Anyone who has a soldering station want to tell me what temperature they used for their catenary soldering?
The solder I'm using is 66/34 .010" rosin core. It has worked well with the 30 watt iron, but have no idea what temperature it produces.
Thanks for the link to the translator. Google doesn't always get it right.
