Hello Lumberjack, good morning to you.
It appears to me that the track on the right in your second picture ends in the middle of nowhere - without a stop block (is that what a "Prellbock" is called in English, I only dimly remember the printing on the boxes of my old Märklin-M-tracks).
Did your accidently lose the boxcar or did you set up the scene for yourself and as entertainment for all of us?
I hope it is the latter case.
Last weekend I accidently crashed a locomotive on my layout, too. (No damage, fortunately.) That scene looked a little like your "accident", but it came as a surprise to me. One of the Märklin turnouts didn't... well, turn... and the stop block at the end of the track was only loosely connected... The locomotive crashed into it a DCC speed of 70-or-something, tore the stop block of the track and derailed spectacularly. It was just a bit of luck that nothing serious had happened.
I hope you have crane around somehere to lift the boxcar back up unto the track. Maybe your Dutch City inhabitants might still have to wait a little longer for their breakfast...
Have a nice time!
Many greetings
Torsten
