Hallo an alle Stummis,

Hello to all the Stummis,
Before we come to lynch law, it is provocative, but in my view it is important for the forum.
We should deal with the question of interacting with children and young people in our forum.
Today I looked again into the forum and scrolled.
I noticed a posting that was written by a youth group.
Over a hundred hits, but no answer.
Is this in our sense?
Everywhere there is talk about youth worries, especially in our hobby.
The model railway industry complains about the lack of young people, you can read about it in every magazine.
In the model railway industry, they basically don't care about children and young people.
A few starter packs and some doubtful developments, but nothing for children and young people in the end.
Otherwise they would have better sales results.
And it looks similar with the magazines.
Years ago, there were reports about construction and even sporadic contributions from children, but today?
Always the same contributions of always the same people with similar photos.
What has it brought?
More and more dealers are disappearing in the cities and more and more magazines are disappearing among the magazine dealers.
And honestly, out of 15 subscriptions I only have the Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette.
And from time to time at the dealer in the station the interesting article in one of the magazines.
Should the STUMMIFORUM end similarly?
The good thing about the forum is the diversity of opinions and the fact that so many areas of interest are covered.
But it's better to nurture the new generation than to ignore them.
Here we have children and young people who post a contribution.
"The Feelltbaanschneggen build the station Westende with the colliery and coking plant of the Zollverein colliery.
They are children who write about our hobby.
Isn't it worth a friendly hello to us?
Shouldn't we support them?
The other way leads only in isolation.
We only deal with ourselves.
And I would like to add that if there was a "Hall of Fame", the young people deserve the space.
What they want and want to achieve at this age is worth all honours.
To my regret I must confess that I was not that far at their age.
They deal with sources, quote them at a high level.
They are professionally concerned with the topic and the role model, they work
with CAD.
Chapeau, I can only say.
Which one of us was ready at this age.
Not me.
Should we now ignore the teenagers or just give them a "hello" or "keep up the good work" in the sense of our forum?
