Made a start on one of the big trees, still need to drybrush them. And tend to go to heavy on the grassfibers. Maybe I should use the Noch grassstick for this..

hi martin,

i shouldn't give any critics at all for never done a tree by myself in any scale. but you asked for...

in my opinion, the leafy parts of your tree are too dense and the unleafy parts not dense enough. looking out of my window right now (it's autumn and i can see the tree only partly in a distance), the overall appearance is more balanced.

just my two cents.

You're absolutely right Klaus, think adding fibers with the Maag-flock is a bit overdone. Very hard to control the 70kV on this kinda builds..

Tried some quickies today, just a piece of florist wire and fibers, 12, 6 and 2mm sprayglued to the wire and added with the grassmaster, just to 2 with a sieve. Final flock with Polak purex special fine....a turf like product..







total time to build 10 minutes...

As you al know I own this pro grassmaster with 70kV of power. bugger throws out to much fibers for this kinda job so I got the old Noch grassmaster out of the closet. Once a week I do work lot on greenery with a fellow modeler, member of our Team Mitropa group, so while he worked on his trees I started on more shrubs with the Noch...worked out pretty well, more subtile so less dense..just one straight piece of 1mmm floristwire with varius grassfibers..



result of one hour playing with fibers...26 low trees or bushes ready for leaves..



When he left I couldn't resist and had to try it on trees. Small pine tree first...



after that one of the birches...







Used Polak Purex light green fine for leaves. Pretty happy with the result so far although i do think it can be even more airier..

Hallo Martin,

deine Vegetation ist dir richtig gut gelungen, sowohl die Bäume als auch die Büsche und das Unkraut. Die Bilder sind auch schön geworden. Das könnte ich mir ständig anschauen.

Die Gebäude gefallen mir auch sehr schön. Vor allem der abgeplatzte Lack ist ein richtiger Hingucker.
